Explore the wonders of beautiful Gros Morne National Park and also take in the L’Anse Aux Meadows Viking Settlement. Hike mountain tops to view glacial carved valleys to hiking coastal trails in search of icebergs and whales.

Itinerary

Day 1

• Arrive to your Oceanside accommodations in the beautiful town of Sallys Cove
• Airport Shuttles from YDF and Deer Lake Included
• Meet and Greet with an evening orientation and dinner (other options available)

Day 2

• Head to Norris Point to travel the water taxi across Beautiful and Majestic Bonne Bay to the Historic Town of Woody Point. Take a short 15-20min hike/walk to the discovery centre.
• Travel to the beautiful Tablelands and complete a beautiful hike to the hanging valley of the earths mantle
• In the afternoon we travel to complete a hike of Green Gardens
• Water Taxi shuttle return to Norris Point
• Evening Dinner at a Great Local Restaurant
• Day Difficulty – Moderate Hiking

Day 3

• Today we embark on a full day hike of Gros Morne Mountain
• Reach the summit 805m above sea level with beautiful views of ten mile pond comes into view.
• Oceanside Dinner prepared upon your return
• Screech-ins with a twist upon request.
• Day Difficulty – Moderate/Strenuous Hiking

Day 4

• Today we head to Western Brook Pond Fjord
• Take a 45 hike to the mouth of the fjord and take a boat tour of the 16 km fjord
• Beautiful Waterfalls
• In the evening we hike the beautiful coastal trail of Green Point.

Day 5

• Begin our journey north to Port Aux Choix.
• Visitors Centre and Hike of Phillips Garden
• Enjoy Lunch with the Woodland Caribou at Point Riche
• Begin our travels again north doing a few short hikes along the way
• Arrive in St. Lunaire-Griquet
• Ocean Side Accommodations

Day 6

• Today we embark on a morning in the zodiac.
• Depending on season, icebergs are seen till usually mid July, and whales are seen July till September.
• Head to St. Anthony for our lunch oceanside
• Begin our journey back to Gros Morne

Day 7

• Today we head to Rocky Harbour and complete a hike of Bakers Brook Falls
• One of the largest waterfalls in the park
• In the evening we travel to Sallys Cove for a hike of our farm and pond.
• Beautiful farewell dinner prepared ocean side

Day 8

• Head back to Deer Lake for your departure
